A failing bulkhead, replaced with stone.
On open Chesapeake Bay water, an old timber bulkhead was failing — boards giving way, the water in front of it brown with the soil it was losing.
WEDC removed the failed bulkhead and engineered a stone revetment in its place: filter fabric laid against the bank, then granite placed over it to take the Bay’s chop.
The finished revetment runs straight along the lawn, with a graded and replanted lawn bed behind it.
