Scott C. Mielke, P.E. — 30+ years designing, permitting and managing waterfront construction on the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers.

The process

One engineer, start to finish.

  1. Turkey Point, 2019: a site inspection along the pre-construction shoreline.

    Site evaluation by a P.E.

A licensed professional engineer evaluates your waterfront independently: its current condition, what is failing and why, and a conceptual solution.

  2. Shoreline cross-section drawings, a scale ruler and pencil on a plan table.

    Engineering, design & permitting

A site development plan drawn for your property, then every application to every governing agency, worked through to approval.

  3. Chesapeake Bay Stone Reinforcement: an excavator setting stone over filter fabric.

    Construction bidding & management

Bidding documents for local, licensed contractors, and project management through construction until the final approvals are in.
